Junior Achievement Essay Contest Open to High School Students
The 2013 Junior Achievement Essay Competition is now open to high school students in grades 9-12. Students are asked to write a 1,000-1,500 word essay on the topic, “Which will do more to improve life in the United States over the next decade, business entrepreneurs or social entrepreneurs? Why?” Three winners from Maryland will be chosen to receive a $10,000 scholarship and a grand prize winner from Maryland, Virginia or D.C. will win a $20,000 scholarship. Students may apply online at www.myja.org/students/essay. All essays must be received by Wednesday, Nov. 6.
