National Hispanic College Fair Set for Nov. 7
The National Hispanic College Fair (NHCF) will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017 at the Bohrer Park Community Center in Gaithersburg. This annual event sponsored by NHCF and MCPS for juniors and seniors is free to students. The fair features more than 50 colleges, universities and service organizations committed to providing outreach and opportunity to all students. An added feature this year will include a college readiness and career information panel consisting of Achieving Collegiate Excellence and Success (ACES) coaches and MCPS alumni.
MCPS students participate by attending with their schools; this event is not open to the public and is held during the school day. Registration and permission forms for this event can be found by the College and Career Coordinator at your child’s school.
There will be two events prior to the fair that are free and open to the public on College and Career Awareness. Both events will take place in Spanish and English.
- Sunday, October 22 at Watkins Mill High School Media Center from 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
- Thursday, October 26 at Kennedy High School Media Center and Cafeteria from 6–9 p.m.
