Permanent employees of MCPS can begin accessing their annual tax forms via Employee Self-Service (ESS) within the next two weeks.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) mandates that employers provide W-2s to their employees by January 31, 2018, and 1095-Cs by March 2, 2018.

MCPS employees will receive their W-2s and 1095-Cs by these deadlines. Those who authorize web delivery of their tax forms by the January 12, 2018, deadline will receive them earlier than those who wait for delivery of hard copies.

For those employees who do not authorize web delivery by January 12, 2018, hard copies of their tax forms will be prepared and delivered to schools and offices.*

For more information about W-2 and 1095-C distribution and for details that will assist you with filing your 2017 taxes, visit the Tax Information web page beginning the week of January 22–26, 2018.

* Tax forms for Department of Transportation employees, temporary part-time employees, substitute teachers, and employees who are on long-term leave, retired or terminated will be mailed to their home addresses.
