In the newest edition of mcpssuper, Superintendent Joshua Starr visits Quince Orchard High School to talk with Principal Carole Working and Deputy Superintendent of Teaching, Learning, and Programs Kimberly Statham about the new Strategic Planning Framework. The Framework is built around three core competencies—Academic Excellence, Creative Problem Solving, and Social Emotional Learning—that students will need to compete and thrive in the 21st century.
Also, on the latest episode of Education Matters, Board of Education President Christopher Barclay discusses the options available to students after they graduate from high school. Guests on the talk show include John Randall, Audrey Hill, Genevieve Floyd and Cynthia Hammond Davis.
And several new episodes are coming to Take 10, including discussions on student stress, staying connected to MCPS, Outdoor Education, the MCPS Educational Foundation and Linkages to Learning. Take 10 is a 10-minute show that focuses on discussions about MCPS schools, programs and students. Check them out here.
