New Educators Introduced to MCPS

August 14, 2013

Hundreds of new MCPS teachers participated in the New Educator Orientation (NEO) from August 12–16 at Clarksburg and Richard Montgomery high schools. NEO, now in its 14th year, provides an opportunity for new teachers to learn about MCPS and to get ready for the new school year and a new career with MCPS.

Educators got the chance to see the curriculum they will be teaching, to attend workshops and an information fair featuring a variety of resources and services, and to interact with new colleagues. Superintendent Joshua Starr also offered the crowd some inspirational words.

MCPS will have more than 750 new teachers at the start of the 2013–2014 school year.
