MCPS Annual Employees’ Charity Campaign Kicks Off Today, Nov. 1
This year’s MCPS Cares Employees’ Charity Campaign kicks off today, Wednesday, Nov. 1, and will continue through Thursday, Nov. 30. The annual campaign raises funds for nonprofit organizations in the Montgomery County community.
As with last year’s campaign, employees can give online using their debit or credit cards, or use the MCPS Cares donation form to give by check or payroll deduction. This year, the campaign is also offering employees the convenience of using their mobile phone to text a donation to the campaign. Employees can text a keyword to 301-329-2238 and follow the prompts to make a gift. Each charity has its own keyword. They are listed below.
MCPS Cares is coordinated by the MCPS Educational Foundation, Inc., and benefits 10 charity partners—CollegeTracks, Inc.; The Greater Washington Community Foundation; Identity; Imagination Stage; The George B. Thomas, Sr. Learning Academy; United Way of the National Capital Area; Family Services, Inc.; Manna Food Center, JCA Interages, and the MCPS Educational Foundation. Visit the MCPS Cares campaign page to find out more about the charity partners and to obtain instructions on donating.
