Towson University, McDaniel College Offering Master’s Programs
Towson University is offering a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree in Special Education with initial certification. The three-year, part-time program offers evening courses taught at the Universities at Shady Grove. Candidates will not have to take leave in order to complete the internship in their third year.
An interest meeting will be held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 27, at the MCPS Office of Human Resources and Development at 45 W. Gude Dr. in Rockville, in the Pine Room (3rd Floor).

Interest Meeting Set for Master’s Program at McDaniel College
A cohort information meeting for the McDaniel College Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction with a Leadership Focus (8MC) program will be held at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19. It will be held at 45 W. Gude Dr. in Rockville (Beech conference room, 2nd floor).
This program is a 34.5-credit program that empowers educators to increase their knowledge and skills in development, implementing and evaluating curriculum and in engaging the educational community in these efforts. Those seeking Admin I Certification must also complete a four-credit internship.

The application deadline is Saturday, Sept. 30, and the following documentation is required to process an application:
- Official bachelor’s degree transcript
- Recommendation form
- $75 application fee
