University of Maryland Offers Master’s of Education in Elementary Education
The University of Maryland, in partnership with MCPS and the Maryland State Department of Education, is offering eligible candidates a Master’s Degree in Education (M.Ed.) with grades 1-6 certification. The two-year part-time program offers evening courses taught at the Universities at Shady Grove. Interns are employed and paid as part-time paraeducators in an MCPS elementary school where they complete an unpaid internship.
Interest meetings will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 5, and Tuesday, Nov. 7, at the Office of Human Resources and Development (OHRD), 45 W. Gude Dr. in Rockville.
