Submit 2022 FSA Claims to Voya/Benefit Strategies by the Deadline or Risk Losing Your Balances!

If you are one of the many employees who had a flexible spending account (FSA) in 2022, then it is time for you to review your account and make plans to use any remaining balances before March 15, 2023.

Qualifying expenses from your medical and/or dependent care FSAs incurred between January 1, 2022, and March 15, 2023, may be reimbursed from your 2022 FSA account. Any remaining 2022 balances will be forfeited. All 2022 plan-year FSA claims must be submitted to Voya/Benefit Strategies by April 30, 2023.

Please note the following:

• Benefit Strategies has joined Voya Financial, Inc. You now may see the name Voya with or without Benefit Strategies. When used in MCPS employee publications, both names refer to the MCPS flexible spending account administrator.
• Rules signed into law in late 2020 under the COVID-related Tax Relief Act of 2020, which had provided grace periods to spend unused balances, no longer are in effect.
