The Montgomery County Board of Education will hold a virtual public hearing on the School Resource Officer (SRO) program on Tuesday, March 2. The Board will hold a second virtual public hearing on Thursday, March 4.
The current SRO program supports all 25 high schools and one alternative program in MCPS. Members of the SRO Work Group offered 17 tentative recommendations for the Board to consider in order to meet the “adequate local law enforcement coverage” mandate of the Maryland Safe to Learn Act of 2018.
