See You at the Back-to-School Jam!

MCPS will kick off the 2021-2022 school year with a Back-to-School Jam for all families on Saturday, August 21. The event will be held at Westfield Wheaton, 11160 Veirs Mill Road in Wheaton, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
To make the jam as safe as possible, most presenters and activities will be outside (under cover) in the mall’s “Streetery” and adjacent covered parking areas. (The Streetery is located outside close to the food court.) Attendees must wear a mask indoors and masks are strongly encouraged in outdoor spaces. Masks and hand sanitizer will be available onsite.
MCPS students and their families are invited to attend this event to learn about school system programs and services. Dozens of nonprofit organizations, businesses and government agencies will join the school system to provide information, resources, COVID-19 vaccinations, entertainment and family-friendly activities.
MCPS will offer free shuttles to the event from 9–10 a.m. and leaving the event from 1–2 p.m. from the following MCPS high schools: Gaithersburg, Montgomery Blair, Paint Branch, Richard Montgomery and Seneca Valley.
Additional information and translated flyers are available on the Back-to-School Jam website.
