Students Will Receive Free Meals During the Summer

Students in many summer school or recreation programs will be provided meals as part of the Montgomery County summer food program. The program ensures that children in low-income areas continue to receive nutritious meals during the summer months when school breakfasts and lunches are not available.
The free meals will be distributed at approximately 120 sites throughout the county every weekday starting June 18 (start dates vary by site). Children 18 and younger are eligible to receive the meals, as are persons with physical and mental disabilities up to 21 years old.
Lunch also will be provided daily to children 18 years and younger on a walk-in basis at several locations throughout the county. For specific information on locations and meal times, click here.
