Virtual Safety Week Underway, Offering Family Activities

The 2021 Virtual Safety Week is underway! The Montgomery County Department of Transportation’s Safe Routes to School program and MCPS have teamed up to offer activities for families to participate in from their own homes.
The free event, developed for elementary and middle school students and their families, emphasizes the need to be safe and look out for others in all forms of travel. Virtual Safety Week aims to remind children and parents about the importance of pedestrian, bicycle and traffic safety.
Families that participate can upload a photo by May 21, and 20 people will be randomly chosen to receive Amazon gift cards. Winners will be notified on Monday, May 24.
