Nominations Open for Edward Shirley Award

Nominations are being accepted for the 2020 Dr. Edward Shirley Award for Excellence in Educational Administration and Supervision, given annually to recognize an outstanding MCPS administrator or supervisor. Nominees can include principals, assistant principals, school business administrators, directors, supervisors and other administrator and supervisor positions within the MCAAP/MCBOA unit.

Nominations may be made by staff, colleagues, friends, parents and community members. Self-nominations will also be accepted. More details and a nomination application are available here.

2019-2020 Shirley Award Nomination Packet

The nomination deadline is 4 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020.

The award is presented by the Montgomery County Association of Administrators and Principals (MCAAP). The winner will be recognized at the Champions for Children celebration in 2020.
