Be Sure to Tune In to the Virtual Conversation on the Draft Recovery Plan
MCPS will host a live virtual conversation on the district’s draft recovery plan, beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15.
Members of the community will have the opportunity to learn more about the initial recommendations for the fall reopening from Superintendent Jack Smith, Deputy Superintendent Monifa McKnight and other members of senior leadership.
There will also be an opportunity to ask questions. The virtual conversation will be streamed live on the MCPS website, MCPS TV and on YouTube. A Spanish version will be made available at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 16. It will be posted on the MCPS website and on the MCPS en Espanol YouTube channel.

In addition, a live question-and-answer session in Spanish will be hosted at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22. Diego Uriburu, executive director of Identity, will join MCPS communications specialist Melissa Rivera to talk about the Fall 2020 Recovery Guide and answer questions from the community. This live Q&A session will be broadcast live on the MCPS en Español website, on the MCPSTV en Español YouTube channel and on Condado TV (Comcast 33, Verizon 35 and RCN 88). Viewers can submit questions via the YouTube chat box.
