Board of Education Makes 16 Administrative Appointments

The Board of Education approved the following administrative appointments at its June 29 business meeting:
- Helen A. Nixon, Associate Superintendent, Office of Human Resources and Development
- Kecia L. Addison, Director, Office of Shared Accountability
- Troy E. Boddy, Director, Equity Initiatives Unit, Office of the Deputy Superintendent
- Christopher C. Cram, Director, Department of Communications
- Pete Dejtisakdi, Director, Business Information Services, Office of Technology and Innovation
- Rotunda Floyd-Cooper, Director of Learning, Achievement and Administration, Office of Teaching, Learning and Schools
- Nicole A. Sosik, Director of Special Programs, Innovation and Outreach, Office of Teaching, Learning and Schools
- Jeffrey K. Sullivan, Director of Systemwide Athletics, Office of Teaching, Learning and Schools
- Shella B. Cherry, Director of Student Leadership and Extracurricular Activities, Office of Teaching, Learning and Schools
- Karen D. Crews, Director of Student Well-Being and Achievement, Office of Student and Family Support and Engagement

In addition, MCPS has made the following changes to complement its restructuring efforts and as a result of the district’s COVID-19 response strategies:

- Scott W. Murphy will serve as director, Department of College and Career Readiness and Districtwide Programs
- Deann M. Collins will serve as director, Division of CARES Act, Early Childhood and Title I
