BOE Letter to Hogan Urges Vaccine Prioritization

In case you missed it, the Board of Education wrote a letter to Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, requesting that COVID-19 vaccines be disseminated to Montgomery County.
In a letter dated February 11, the Montgomery County Board of Education and the MCPS Superintendent urged Governor Larry Hogan to prioritize disseminating vaccines to Montgomery County, the largest county in Maryland. Acknowledging that the Governor believes vaccines should not be tied to the opening schools, the letter stresses that vaccines will bring a significant level of safety as schools begin reopening March 1.
