Credit Union Offering Scholarships, Awards to Students and Staff
Educational Systems Federal Credit Union is offering a professional development award to educators and has two scholarships open to MCPS students.
The Maurice Erly Professional Development Award is a $1,000 award available to administrators, teachers or support staff who have made a difference by positively impacting student success and who want to further their own development. The award money can be used towards continuing education fees, such as workshop registrations, certification fees and tuition. Applications are due April 1.
Two student scholarships are also available for Montgomery County students—the Dorothy Marvil Scholarship and the Rosemary Brinkley Business and Finance Scholarship.
The Dorothy Marvil Scholarship is a one-time $3,000 scholarship, and can be used for tuition at a four-year university, community college, technical college or trade school. Applications are due April 1.
The Rosemary Brinkley Business and Finance Scholarship is also a one-time $3,000 scholarship, which can be used towards a degree in business, finance or a related field at a four-year university or community college. Applications are also due April 1.
