October is LGBTQ+ History Month, and MCPS is committed to ensuring that LGBTQ+ students, staff and families feel welcomed and supported. Through professional development for staff, anti-discrimination policies and practices, and LGBTQ+ affirming policies, the district creates the foundation for an inclusive school system. MocoPride Youth, MCPS PRIDE ALLiance, staff P.R.I.D.E groups and affinity groups at all school levels contribute to the support. Watch a video.
