You won’t want to miss the MCPS Back-to-School Fair on Saturday, Aug. 23, from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. Help get the school year off to a great start! The fair will be held on the grounds of the Carver Educational Services Center, 850 Hungerford Drive in Rockville.

resizedbtsf2The fair is free and will have something for everyone. There will be school system and community resources for parents, along with health screenings, immunizations for incoming seventh graders that meet the new state of Maryland requirement, music entertainment and fun children’s activities. Parents and students can also get hands-on experience with MCPS curriculum and technology.

The Back-to-School Fair is made possible through generous donations from many sponsors, including Kaiser Permanente, Party Plus, Washington Talent Agency and Montgomery College.

Limited parking will be available at the Montgomery College Rockville campus across the street from Carver Educational Services Center. Free round-trip shuttle buses will run from 10:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m., between the fair and the following sites:

  • Montgomery Blair High School
  • Albert Einstein High School
  • John F. Kennedy High School
  • Northwest High School
  • Paint Branch High School
  • Richard Montgomery High School
  • Rockville High School
  • Seneca Valley High School
  • Shady Grove Middle School
  • Springbrook High School
  • Watkins Mill High School
