Don’t Risk Losing 2019 FSA Funds: Use Your Balances by March 15, 2020

If you are one of the many employees who had a flexible spending account (FSA) in 2019, then it is time for you to review your account and make plans to use any remaining balances before March 15, 2020.

Qualifying medical and/or dependent care expenses incurred from January 1, 2019, through March 15, 2020, may be reimbursed from 2019 FSA funds. All plan-year 2019 FSA claims must be submitted by April 30, 2020, to Benefit Strategies, the company that administers FSAs for MCPS. Any funds that remain unclaimed after April 30, 2020, will be forfeited.
