In November, the Employee Self-Service (ESS) webpage was enhanced with new features. You can now update your tax records, change your home address, and change or designate your direct deposit account preferences via the online system.

Log in to ESS using your MCPS username and password to access the following new or enhanced options:

  • Home address—Employees can update their home address by clicking My address change under the orange My Information banner.
  • W-4 tax withholdings—Employees now can select a third withholding option on their W-4 form: Married, withhold at a single rate. To access the tax withholdings form from ESS, click My W-4, under the blue My Taxes banner.
  • Direct deposit—Employees now can direct MCPS to have their pay automatically deposited into any two bank accounts. Previously, employees could only elect Educational Systems Federal Credit Union as their second bank.

Retirees and other former employees will need to complete and submit MCPS Form 445-1B, Change in Personal Information for MCPS Retirees and Former Employees, to update their addresses with their health insurance vendors.

Questions? Contact the Employee and Retiree Service Center (ERSC) at 301-517-8100 or via email.
