Forty computers have been donated to Gaithersburg High School through the BROTHERS Academy at the school. The program encourages students to explore post-secondary paths to academic success. BROTHERS is a student-driven mentoring program that assists high school males in their academic, social and emotional growth. Watch a video from the event.
MCPS Teachers Publish Books
Two MCPS teachers have become published authors.
Dr. Gabriel Kengni, math teacher at the Blair Ewing Center, has written an autobiography, From Nothing to Everything: My Pathway toward Excellence. His book has been approved for the high school social studies and World Studies curricula.
Kristin Spenser, a fourth grade teacher at Cresthaven Elementary School, has published her first book, Teacher, Tell Me What You See. This picture book about teaching and learning online during the 2020-2021 school year has been approved for MCPS media centers.
