Higher Education Partnerships Offering Virtual Information Sessions

Teacher preparation partnerships are pathways available to supporting services employees seeking certification to teach in specific content areas. Graduate Programs
Towson University: Thursday, Feb. 10, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Course #90585
The Towson Master of Arts in Teaching in Special Education is a program designed for employees who are seeking an initial teacher certification in special education.
Johns Hopkins University: Wednesday, Feb. 16, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Course #87107
This program has two focus areas: elementary/middle school (grades 1–8) and secondary/adult levels (grades 6–12) in special education.
University of Maryland Creative Initiatives in Teacher Education (CITE): Wednesday, March 2, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Course #87596
CITE participants work as paraeducators. CITE prepares participants to become general education teachers in grades 1-6. Apply now to receive transcript analysis and academic advising.
Associate of Arts Degree
Montgomery College, Thursday, Feb. 17, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Course #89298
Members of the cohort earn the Associate of Arts in Teaching Degree, the first two years of the required four-year degree. MC will assist employees who are new to college or who have some college credits to develop an academic plan that allows students to graduate in three years.
