How Will You Celebrate Mother’s Day This Year?
Families around the country won’t be able to celebrate Mother’s Day in the typical fashion this year—no Sunday brunches or large celebrations—but that doesn’t mean you can’t show your appreciation for moms and all the mom-like figures out there.
Montgomery History is looking for help to document this moment in time for future historians. Its COVID-19 Archive will provide a permanent repository, using multimedia accounts from residents, to ensure posterity understands how these historic events touched lives in Montgomery County, and shaped thoughts and actions.
This week’s prompt for the COVID-19 Archive is:
How will you be celebrating Mother’s Day while the stay-at-home order is in place? How will it differ from the way you normally celebrate?
Montgomery County wants to see pictures, written reflections, artwork and other examples of what your Mother’s Day celebrations look like this year! Please visit this website to learn more about the goal of our COVID-19 Archive, or contact Archivist Sarah Hedlund if you have questions about submissions.
