Hundreds Attend Annual Special Education Summit
Hundreds of MCPS families gathered at Quince Orchard High School to attend the 6th annual Special Education Summit. Special education leaders, experts and organizations were on hand to share information, strategies and ideas with parents and staff. The event featured a resource fair with MCPS staff and outside organizations.
There were also more than 30 breakout sessions, which covered topics including finding summer recreation opportunities; supporting language development at home; making math fun; managing challenging behavior; understanding dyslexia and keeping kids safe, happy and healthy in the digital age.
