In a Conflict with a Co-Worker or Supervisor? The Dispute Resolution Program Can Help
The Conflict Resolution Center of Montgomery County and the MCPS Employee Assistance Program (EAP) are teaming up to offer free mediation services to MCPS employees during the pandemic. Mediation services are available by phone and video.
Mediation provides participants the opportunity to find common ground, and reduce or resolve conflict. It allows for a healthy workplace environment to be restored and opens communication between staff members. Mediation gives people a space to talk about issues or concerns affecting the workplace in a neutral and confidential environment.
If you’re having a conflict with a colleague or supervisor, there are a number of reasons to participate in mediation. It is a free, confidential service held at a time and location that is convenient to both parties. The mediators are neutral, and both parties are encouraged to speak openly so that conflict can be resolved.
If you would like more information or have questions about mediation, contact the In-House EAP at 240-314-1040.
