Kossi L. Apete, automotive tech I at the Department of Transportation’s Bethesda Fleet Maintenance, died on Jan. 2. He was 57 years old and had been with MCPS for more than 24 years.

Reba G. Barnhill, lunch-hour aide at Summit Hall Elementary School, died on Jan. 4. She was 64 years old and had been with MCPS for more than 17 years.

Patrina Goldstein, who worked as a paraeducator at Belmont Elementary School and retired in 2003, died on Dec. 16, 2021.

Andy A. Gomez, coordinator in the Division of ESOL/Bilingual Programs, died on Jan. 12. He was 40 years old and had five months of service with MCPS.

Keith A. Hill, Jr., building service assistant manager at MacDonald Knolls Early Childhood Center, died on Jan. 10. He was 21 years old and had been with MCPS for more than three years.

Lisa Howard, special education bus attendant at the Shady Grove North Transportation Depot, died on Jan. 1. She was 55 years old and had been with MCPS for more than 18 years.

Christian W. Lasley, mechanical systems technician with the Division of Maintenance/Operations, died on Jan. 17. He was 53 years old and had been with MCPS for more than 16 years.

Matthew T. Meehan, building service worker at Flora M. Singer Elementary School, died on Jan. 14. He was 34 years old and was with MCPS for more than one year.

Donald A. Porter, IT systems specialist with School Technology Support, died on Jan. 1. He was 61 years old and had more than 13 years of service with MCPS.

Stephen Roberts, roof maintenance work at Central M&O Service Center, died on Jan. 12. He was 70 and had more than eight years of service with MCPS.
