Interested in Becoming an Assistant Principal?
The Office of Human Resources and Development (OHRD) is hosting informational sessions for aspiring assistant principals. Qualified MCPS employees and educational leaders outside Montgomery County who plan to apply to the assistant principal (AP) pool in the 2019-2020 school year are invited.
Two sessions will be held—from 4–5:30 p.m. and from 6–7:30 p.m.—on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 15 W. Gude Dr., Pocomoke Room, in Rockville. The same information will be discussed in both meetings; you only need to attend one session.
Administrator and supervisory leaders will share an overview of the AP pool process; provide information on the elements of the application; and offer suggestions for effectively presenting yourself as an instructional leader.
Eligibility information, as well as information for all administrator opportunities, can be found here.
Space is limited, and RSVPs are encouraged. In order to guarantee a spot in the session, please submit your RSVP here. You must use a Google account to RSVP.
Contact OHRD with questions at 301-279-3469.
Informational sessions for the prequalified principal pool will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 10. Invitations will go out following the AP pool informational sessions.
