Summer staff is needed!

Are you looking for summer employment? Do you want to help prepare MCPS students for the coming school year? Look no further: MCPS has positions available for a variety of summer employment opportunities for MCEA and SEIU unit members.

School-Based Summer School Programs

MCPS will be offering a robust summer school program at every school. These programs will support the academic and well-being needs of students. Teachers, paraeducators, clerical and security staff are needed.

Premium incentive pay is being offered for 10-month MCEA unit members who work in any of the summer school programs.

The premium supplements will be scaled based on the duration of the program:

  • One-week program: $200
  • Two-week program: $400
  • Three-week program: $600
  • Four-week program: $800
  • Five-week program: $1,000

To be eligible for this benefit, 10-month teachers must apply for a summer program position by Friday, May 28 by visiting MCPS Careers; log in to the Summer Employment section.

Central Office Summer Employment Opportunities

There are also a variety of employment opportunities in central office locations. Each position is geared toward preparing students, staff and families for the coming school year.

Summer employment allows you to make a difference, learn new skills and meet new colleagues. See the list of available opportunities: Summer Employment Communication.

Applications are being accepted now and interested employees should apply online at MCPS Careers. Select the For Current Employees banner and log in to the Summer Employment section.
