Mindfulness Videos Available to Staff, Students and Families
MCPS has created a series of mindfulness videos for staff, students and the community to address the multitude of current emotions and circumstances. The goal is to deliver simple and effective tools to help manage anxiety and stress. The strategies are designed for elementary and secondary students, adults and families.
MCPS mindfulness coordinator Jeff Donald kicks off the series with an introduction. Each video is presented by staff members and others in the community, who lead viewers through a mindfulness exercise (either physical, mental or breathing) to alleviate emotions, such as stress, worry, frustration, fear, depression, anger and restlessness.
Each “Mindful Moment” is between 10 to 20 minutes, and covers one specific technique.
