MSDE’s New CPD Course Open One More Week for Registration
Do you need credits for renewal or salary advancement? MCPS is reopening registration for one additional week so that educators can earn MSDE Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits for successfully implementing their school system’s Continuity of Learning plan for the 2020–2021 school year.
Educators interested in earning these credits can register for Professional Development Online course #90092, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, June 10, through Thursday, June 17. PDO is for registration only.
- Review the FAQs in the confirmation email received after successfully registering for PDO course #90092.
- Educators should complete the Google survey when a registration confirmation email is received. The link to the survey should not be shared. Educators will not receive the credits if the Google survey is not completed by June 30.
- Educators should monitor their MCPS Outlook email, since submissions will be randomly chosen for audit. If an educator’s hours are chosen for audit, the educator will receive an email with a due date to submit the documentation of hours via another Google survey. Educators will not receive the credits requested if the Google survey is not completed by the due date given in the audit notification email.
- It will be each educator’s responsibility to maintain the grade slip sent to their MCPS Gmail account once all submissions are verified. MCPS will retain one for each educator’s MSDE and MCPS records. Grade slips will be available at the end of July or early August depending on the timely completion of the Google survey and audit documentation.
