New Well-Being Matters, Waymaking Episodes Now Available
The newest episode of “Well-Being Matters” takes a look at Calming the Anxious Brain.
“Well-Being Matters” is an MCPS video series for staff members hosted by Robyn Rosenbauer, a licensed clinical social worker who is an employee assistance specialist with the Employee Assistance Program. In this show, Rosenbauer talks with psychotherapist Katie Silver, who specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma treatment.
“Well-Being Matters” has tackled many topics, including grief and loss, ergonomics, caregiving, domestic violence and better sleep. The entire playlist is available here.
The latest episodes of “Waymaking” feature discussions on two topics—eating disorders and depression. The “Waymaking” video series highlights mental health and well-being resources for staff and students. The shows are hosted by Dr. Christina Conolly-Chester, MCPS director of psychological services.
In the episode on eating disorders, Dr. Conolly-Chester talks with Montgomery Blair High School counselor Makeyda Soriano to discuss signs and symptoms of eating disorders and how to seek treatment. The show on depression welcomes school psychologist Katherine Oyson to discuss the signs and symptoms of depression and how to seek help for your child.
