Newest Waymaking Episodes Feature Courageous Conversations on Discrimination
Two new episodes of “Waymaking” are now available to watch. The video series highlighting mental health and well-being resources to staff, students and the community is hosted by Dr. Christina Conolly, director of psychological services for MCPS.
As part of the Waymaking Courageous Conversations Series, Conolly hosts in-depth discussions on discrimination and racial disparities in the Black and Brown, and Asian American communities due to the pandemic.
The episode featuring a discussion on the Black and Brown communities welcomes Byron Johns, education chair of the Montgomery County branch of the NAACP; Diego Uriburu, Executive director of Identity Inc.; and Troy Boddy, director of the MCPS Equity Unit. You can see it here.
In the episode focused on the Asian American community, Conolly is joined by Li Shen, Asian liaison in the Office of Community Partnerships with Montgomery County and Perry Chan of the Asian American Health Initiative with the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services.
