The deadline for the Superintendent’s Annual Mark Mann Excellence and Harmony Award has been extended to Friday, Jan. 24, 2020.

Established in 1991, the Mark Mann award is presented annually to an MCPS administrator who has shown exceptional performance in promoting academic excellence, positive human relations and community outreach. These qualities were exemplified by Mark Mann, a former principal of Parkland Junior High School, who died in 1988. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience as a principal.

Nominations made in previous years may be resubmitted. More information and applications are available here.

The deadline is 4 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 24, 2020
