Music Comes to Life for Thousands of Fifth Graders
More than 12,000 5th grade students attended interactive and educational blues and jazz concerts at the Music Center at Strathmore from Oct. 24–27. The concerts were developed by Strathmore, MCPS, the Library of Congress and local blues experts to teach students about the elements of the blues, to enhance classroom lessons and to foster greater music appreciation.
