SEIU’s Career Pathways Program Now Underway

The Career Pathways Ambassador Program is underway. Twenty-four ambassadors have been selected for this inaugural cohort, and they are hard at work supporting MCPS supporting services employees. The program supports SEIU Local 500 unit members in identifying career goals and getting training to attain those goals.
This month, the program is highlighting two ambassadors for their outstanding work: D’Ante Thaggard, administrative secretary in the Office of Shared Accountability (OSA), and Kelly Weigand, OSA reports specialist. D’ante and Kelly have shown enthusiasm and dedication. They delivered a presentation on the program to the OSA staff and have started reaching out to employees across MCPS.
The program is also recognizing Dr. Kecia Addison, director in the Office of Shared Accountability for her support and encouragement, which has contributed to the early success of the program.
