SERT Announces Watts Up Poster Contest Winners
The School Energy and Recycling Team has announced the winners of the annual Watt’s Up? poster contest. Contestants were asked to create and submit original artwork that demonstrated the importance of conserving energy and recycling. The contest was open to students in K–12 and to staff. First and second place winning entries will be on display at the Rockville Memorial Library throughout June.
The winners and their artwork are:
Grades K–2, Mila Sanchez (Grade 2), Somerset Elementary School
Grades 3–5, Sophia Liu (Grade 5), Fox Chapel Elementary School
Grades 6–8, Darae King (Grade 8), Cabin John Middle School
Grades 9–12, Megan Nonato (Grade 9), Northwest High School
Staff, Katherine Hess, art teacher, Seneca Valley High School
Second place winners were:
Grades K–2, Faith Ferry, Little Bennett Elementary School
