Special Education Advisory Committee Set for Sept. 23
This school year’s first meeting of the Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) will be held virtually on Thursday, Sept. 23.
SEAC is comprised of parents/guardians, MCPS staff and representatives of Montgomery County community groups that advocate for students with special needs and advise the Office of Special Education. SEAC holds monthly meetings that are open to the public, allowing parents to connect with each other and have conversations with special education administrators.
All meetings are held from 7–9 p.m. The rest of this year’s SEAC meetings are scheduled for:
- Thursday, Oct. 28
- Thursday, Nov. 18
- Thursday, Dec. 16 (Interim Superintendent Monifa B. McKnight is tentatively scheduled to attend.)
- Thursday, Jan 27, 2022
- Thursday, Feb. 24, 2022
- Thursday, March 24, 2022
- Thursday, April 28, 2022
- Thursday, May 26, 2022
