Students: Create a PSA or Social Posting to Fight COVID-19 Misinformation

The Montgomery County chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity is hosting a COVID-19 facts student competition. Students are asked to create a social posting or public service announcement to fight COVID-19 misinformation.

The contest is open to MCPS middle and high school students. The contest asks students for their thoughts on how the community and the world are dealing with the pandemic. Students can express themselves through art, music, photography, creative writing or spoken word. Multiple submissions are encouraged.

Students can post their creations on Instagram and tag @IUL1906, using the hashtag #COVID19. Students can also submit their work by sending an email here.

The deadline is Saturday, Jan. 15. More information is available on their website.
