Superintendent’s Breakfast Focuses on STEM Careers
High school students and professionals from the business world and academia gathered for the MCPS Educational Foundation’s 4th annual Breakfast with the Superintendent.
The September 27 event, held at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center, brought students together with business professionals to explore careers and leadership.
David M. Velasquez, president and CEO of Pepco Holdings, joined Superintendent Jack Smith to discuss his career path, and offered tips on being successful in the workplace. The discussion was followed up by a question-and-answer session with students.
