Superintendent’s Breakfast Focuses on STEM
Dozens of Montgomery County business leaders and students met with Superintendent Jack Smith on Sept. 29 at the second annual Superintendent’s Breakfast hosted by the MCPS Educational Foundation. The event highlighted the importance of building partnerships with the business community and growing and enhancing educational opportunities in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) for MCPS students. The event included an in-depth interview with Dr. Erin O’Shea, president of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Students in attendance were also able to hear from and engage with experts in the field.
