Survey Seeks Input on Supporting Multilingual Learners
MCPS has hired the Center for Applied Linguistics (CAL) to implement a survey on how best to support multilingual learners in the district. CAL will engage a stakeholder commission and conduct research into current MCPS practices with the goal of improving student engagement and achievement of Emergent Multilingual Learners students in the English Language Development program, and Latino students in various programs, including Two-Way Immersion, Students with Limited or Interrupted Formal Education and the Career Readiness Education Academy.
Complete the survey and share your thoughts on how best to support these students in MCPS. Surveys are due Friday, June 17.
