Weeklong Summer Program to Explore Latino Identity and History, Feature Guest Speakers
The Summer BOND Learning and Leadership Institute is offering a free virtual program this summer for 7th to 12th grade boys.
Registration for the program, Latinos en Estados Unidos, is open to all rising 7th to 12th grade boys; Latino males are especially encouraged to sign up. A host of guest speakers will discuss Latino identity and history, as well as Latinos in education, advocacy and in the workforce.

The program is being coordinated by Doug Jimenez, a social studies teacher at Montgomery Blair High School, and Oliver Fajardo, an instructional assessment specialist with the Bilingual Assessment Team. Latinos en Estados Unidos will run from 10 a.m.–noon, from Monday, June 28 through Friday, July 2. A variety of topics pertaining to the Latino community in the U.S. will be discussed each day.
