Well Aware, the MCPS wellness program, offers many classes virtually to help employees stay active and manage stress. From mindfulness and meditation to seated yoga, Zumba, Pilates, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) camp, and stretch and mobility classes, you are sure to find something that will meet your individual needs. Schedules are updated weekly. Email Well Aware to request a schedule.

New Health and Wellness Platform Provides Hundreds of Free Classes

MCPS and CareFirst are partnering to bring employees access to BurnAlong, a health and wellness platform that comes with four free accounts for employees, interested family and friends. The platform offers more than 1,000 classes that range from meditation, self defense and  boxing, to yoga, dance, bootcamp and spin. Beyond the physical, classes are also offered on nutrition, stress management, financial literacy, diabetes awareness and cancer wellness. There are even specialized senior classes for you or older members of your family who need physical activity but need to stay in the house. Classes can also be taken as a group, so you can work out with a friend or family member while seeing and talking to each other during the class. Register and log in.
