At a press event at Walter Johnson High School, MCPS celebrated the additional of more than 80 electric school buses to its fleet. The use of electric buses will reduce fuel costs, as well as the school system’s overall carbon footprint. The electric bus initiative is being implemented through a partnership with Highland Electric Fleets.
