Alpha Delta Kappa Offering Scholarships to Staff
The Maryland Beta chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa, an international honorary sorority for women educators, is offering a $1,500 scholarship for educators in MCPS or for employees who wish to become educators.
The scholarship is available to a MCPS employee studying to become a teacher, counselor or other educational specialist. It may also be used for professional development at a college or university to enhance the education of a MCPS teacher, counselor or other educational specialist. The scholarship must be used within one year from the date of notification of selection to receive the scholarship.

Credit Union Offering Scholarship Awards to Staff, Students
Educational Systems Federal Credit Union is offering scholarships and professional development awards for graduating seniors and employees of the seven Maryland counties that it serves, including Montgomery County. The deadline to apply is Monday, April 1.
Scholarships available include:
- Dorothy Marvil Scholarship
- Rosemary Brinkley Business and Finance Scholarship
- Maurice Erly Professional Development Award
The $3,000 Dorothy Marvil Scholarship and the $3,000 Rosemary Brinkley Business and Finance Scholarship are available to a senior who graduates from an MCPS school. Their application must meet the requirements as outlined on the 2019 High School Scholarship Flyer and the student must be a member of Educational Systems Federal Credit Union or the Support Education Foundation.
The $1,000 Maurice Erly Professional Development Award is available to MCPS educators (administrators, teachers and support staff) who are or who become members of Educational Systems FCU. 2019 Maurice Erly Award Flyer
