Proctors Needed for September 26, October 3 SAT Testing
Planning is continuing for SAT administration by the College Board on September 26 and October 3 in selected MCPS test centers, as health and safety conditions allow.
Test centers will include Walter Johnson, Whitman, Gaithersburg, Watkins Mill, Albert Einstein, Montgomery Blair, Northwest, Quince Orchard, Clarksburg, Seneca Valley (at Clemente or Clarksburg), Damascus, Rockville and Paint Branch high schools. For students not already registered, registration for October 3 remains open until September 22 here. Non-standard testing for students with approved accommodations will also be offered. These testing details, along with details for testing day and health/safety requirements, will be communicated directly by the College Board to the email address that was used for student registration.
SAT coordinators have been identified and are in the process of recruiting proctors in their communities. To meet anticipated need, additional proctors will be needed. Any MCPS staff member with experience administering standardized tests is eligible to serve as a paid proctor. Interested staff can complete this form to express interest.
Note on ACT: Although large national ACT administrations in MCPS buildings are not being offered in September or October at this time, MCPS is currently planning to administer the ACT for students with already approved accommodations. This small group testing will take place during the approved October special testing window. Parents of students with approved accommodations for special testing should contact the counseling department at their child’s school to make arrangements with the testing coordinator for testing to take place outside of the school day.
