Seminar to Provide Information on Social Security Benefits and Services
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is hosting a free seminar on the benefits and services available through Social Security on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
Many people think of Social Security just as a retirement program. Even though most people who receive Social Security are collecting retirement benefits, many workers receive benefits because they are:
- A spouse or child of someone who gets Social Security
- A spouse or child of a worker who died, or
- A dependent parent of a worker who died
Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for Social Security at any age. In fact, Social Security pays more benefits to children than any other government program. Today, more than 64 million people collect some kind of Social Security benefits.
All benefits have different eligibility requirements. The seminar will provide information on benefits and other services available through the Social Security Administration.
It will be held from 4:30–5:45 p.m. at the Center for Skillful Teaching and Leading at its new location, 15 W. Gude Dr., Suite 310 (Pocomoke Training Room).
Due to space limitations, an RSVP is required. Please contact the Employee Assistance Program at 240-314-1040, or visit this SignUp Genius to register.
